Hi! I'm Jill the  lady  behind Finger Lakes Doodles — a NYS licensed breeder raising standard & mini/ medium F1 Sheepadoodles. But honestly, before any of that, I’m  a mom of three, so yeah, I’ve got my hands full and love it!

Dogs have always been a huge part of how I parent. I do therapy dog work in schools, nursing homes, and hospitals, and I get to see up close how much good a dog can do — especially for kids. There’s nothing quite like watching a nervous kid light up around a dog, or seeing someone’s whole mood shift the second one walks in the room.

That’s really why I do this. I know firsthand what it’s like to raise kids alongside a dog, and how much love, comfort, and companionship they bring to a house. I’m not just trying to place puppies — I want to help families get the life they’ve been picturing with a dog in it.

Every puppy in my program is raised following much of the  Puppy Culture  protocol — a science-based approach to early socialization and development covering the critical first 8 weeks of life. From Early Neurological Stimulation to enrichment, confidence-building, and habituation exercises, my puppies get the foundation that sets them up for a lifetime of stability and good behavior.

Because I specialize in sheepadoodles, I have added a few extra exercises to our routine tailored to the breed’s unique needs: e.g., early grooming table desensitization, paw and face handling for lifelong coat maintenance, herding-instinct impulse control games, mental enrichment for their high intelligence. These extras help our puppies grow into well-adjusted companions who are just as comfortable on the grooming table as they are on the couch.
